A number of famous guest stars have already been lined up to appear in the new series of CASUALTY starting in September.
Actor Joe McFadden, most noted for his role in Heartbeat, is to play a character called Alistair – a homeless man who paramedic Polly bonds with and is set to push her to the limit.
Comedian Russ Abbott also makes a guest appearance as a pet shop owner in one episode later in the series. A source added, ‘Russ had us all in stitches. He was constantly telling jokes on set.’
And boyband Blue member Antony Costa will appear in an episode as a man who douses his prostitute girlfriend with petrol. He added, ‘I can’t wait for it to come out. It’s going to show me in a different light.’
