Former HOLBY CITY actor Ade Edmondson has been crowned the winner of the 8th series of ‘Celebrity Masterchef’.
Ade, who played Abra in the medical drama, fought off competition from finalists Les Dennis and Janet Street-Porter to be crowned the champion after serving pan-seared venison, stuffed sea bass and raspberry sorbet.
After receiving his trophy from judges John Torrode and Gregg Wallace, Ade said ‘I’m very, very chuffed. I’ve spent most of my life being second, so to actually come top is… it feels very weird, but I’m very, very pleased.’
Ade is the second former HOLBY star to have won the series; Lisa Faulkner won Celebrity Masterchef back in 2010 and has since released a cookery book entitiled ‘Recipes from My Mother for My Daughter’.
