Episode Summary
The truth about wife-beating Warren’s death finally comes to light and Polly’s attempts to help Hannah go disastrously wrong.
Kirsty goes to the fire station where they have been posthumously honouring her late husband, Warren. But daughter Nita has scaled the fire tower with a bottle of vodka, distraught that she has got her dad so wrong: Nita thought he was a bad man, but everyone here thinks he was a hero. In flashback the violent history of the family’s relationship is relived and Nita finally reveals the true circumstances surrounding her father’s death.
It’s Polly’s last day as a paramedic and she attends a shout with Jeff – for disturbed former patient Hannah Fleet. Hannah has now scalded herself and insists on being treated by Dylan, much to his discomfort. Becoming increasingly obsessed with Dylan’s cavalier treatment of her, Hannah is determined to make him suffer as she has. With malicious intent she grabs a large pair of scissors, just as Polly runs to comfort her…
