Another newcomer is set to hit the HOLBY CITY wards; actor Adam Astill is to play new Consultant Dan Hamilton from next month.
Adam is most recently known for playing Simon Bennett in all three series of Mistresses. He has also made a guest appearance in Series 22 Episode 43 of sister show CASUALTY.
Speaking of his new role, Adam says: “I’m thrilled to be joining HOLBY CITY in the footsteps of so many brilliant characters. Dan can be charismatic, confident and charming and, even despite having the ability to put his foot in his mouth, he soon encounters romance on the ward.
“However, not everyone will fall under his spell, leading to some interesting times ahead! I’ve been given such a warm welcome by the cast and crew and I can’t wait to see what the year ahead will bring.”
Belinda Campbell, executive producer, says: “We are delighted to be welcoming Adam on board. Dan will certainly bring a spark to Holby General in more ways than one but, for someone who appears to have had an easy passage through life, there are various troubles for our new Consultant on the not-too-distant horizon. I can’t wait to see how the New Year will unfold.”
