CASUALTY and HOLBY CITY have both been nominated in the ‘Soap & Continuing Drama’ category at the BAFTA Awards.
The news comes as HOLBY CITY showed it’s last episode this week before being unfairly axed by the BBC.
The ceremony takes place on Sunday 8th May at London’s Royal Festival Hall.
Recently CASUALTY attended the RTS Awards where they were nominated, however lost out to Hollyoaks.
Voting is also open at the TRIC Awards. CASUALTY and HOLBY CITY are both up for Soap of the Year. CASUALTY’s George Rainsford, Eleanor Lawless, Charles Venn and Kirsty Mitchell and HOLBY CITY’s Rosie Marcel, Guy Henry, Jaye Jacobs and Trieve Blackwood-Cambridge are all up for Soap Actor. These awards take place on 6th July.
