Original cast member Cathy Shipton is to make a guest return in the new series.
Cathy, who has played nurse Duffy in the first eight series of the show, as well as returning between 1998-2003 and appearing in a special filmed in Cambodia in 2006, will appear in the first two episodes of Series 30 as an agency nurse.
The episodes, which are part of CASUALTY’s 30th anniversary celebrations, have been written and directed by the show’s co-creator Paul Unwin and also feature actor Baxter Westby who is to play a young Charlie Fairhead in the special.
