In an interview with Inside Soap this week, actress Chizzy Akudolu has confirmed that she is leaving HOLBY CITY this month.
Fans will be disappointed to see her leave after five years on the show as surgeon Mo Effanga. She has had a number of storylines during her time on the show including being a surrogate to baby William, discovering Ina wasn’t her biological mother and most notably her romance with Mr T, which saw them have baby Hector earlier this year.
However Chizzy has promised the door has been left open for Mo to return in future, speaking on Twitter she said ‘It’s official, but it’s not the end. I’ve loved playing Mo and she’ll pop back now and again. Massive thanks for all your support.’
