Last year saw CASUALTY’s shock BAFTA win, and holby.tv fans will be delighted to hear that HOLBY CITY have been recognised this year, having deservedly picked up a coveted award.
HOLBY CITY, which has been running for 9 years, won their first ever BAFTA award in the category of ‘Continuing Drama’, beating rivals Eastenders, Emmerdale and The Bill.
Actors Hugh Quarshie, Robert Powell, Amanda Mealing and Jaye Jacobs represented the show to pick up the award, which was held at the London Palladium on Sunday 20th April.
Hugh Quarshie added, ‘To beat the best at their own game is very satisfying.’
