The longlist has been announced for next year’s National TV Awards to be held on 28th January 2020.
CASUALTY’s Michael Stevenson and Cathy Shipton are both up for Best Drama Performance, Jack Nolan for Best Newcomer whilst CASUALTY is in the running for Best Drama.
Michael left our screens earlier this year after playing troubled paramedic Iain in an important mental health story which resulted in him attempting suicide whilst Cathy, who has been revealed to be leaving the show next year after 33 years playing iconic Duffy has shown a heartbreaking portrayal of dementia.
Categories are fierce so every vote counts – so please get your votes in for Casualty at the NTA website. Longlist voting closes on Friday 25th October.
CASUALTY won Best Drama at the National TV Awards back in 2017.
In other award news, Amanda Mealing has been shortlisted for Best Actress at the TV Times awards whilst at the Inside Soap Awards held earlier this month, HOLBY CITY actress Rosie Marcel won Best Drama star and Michael Stevenson won Best Drama storyline.
