Following nurse Scarlett Conway turning herself in to the police for her part in the Holby Riot at the end of the last series of CASUALTY, actress Madeleine Mantock who plays her has confirmed that she has left the show.
Madeleine thanked fans for all their support onTwitter and revealed, ‘Unfortunately Scarlett won’t be in Series 27 – she is awaiting her sentencing!’
Madeleine leaves the show after just a year on the medical drama. Meanwhile the new series of CASUALTY is due to start on 18th August.

(:'( i was beginning to wonder if she was to return as she didnt appear in series 27 episodes 1 and 2 its so sad; although i thought her character lacked in confidence she still managed to make a huge difference to the team

I hope that maybe one day Scarlett can return. I know that she won’t be allowed to work as a nurse again after what happened at the riots, but that doesn’t mean the character couldn’t be back at some point. Like if she returned as a patient, and then rekindled her relationship with Lloyd…
